The Need
All I need in life
Are the chords and the notes
The clefts on the graph
That's what floats my boat.
The songs speak to me
And when I hear those sounds
I feel every word
They're swarming all around
When the day hits hard
And I'm not feeling the best
Music helps the most
It relieves all the stress
There are days where I've been challenged
E-mo-tion-al-ly
Wishing it all could end
What would have been the death of me
I sat in my room
On those dark and dreary days
And I put in my headphones
And that special song played
The one that convinced me
Not to end it all
It's because of music
That I wrote this poem at all
