Need

Need and greed go hand in hand,

But here I stand.

For some love is their main desire

and others power is what they require.

But here I stand.

Hand on my heart.

As I remember watching you depart,

All I need is for you to come home.

The seconds tick on and on,

I weep knowing you are gone.

That you found a new home.

All I need is you,

but you have left;

so all I need is to move on.
