Need to Believe

Stranded with nowhere beyond the shore to go,

What would I need to feel that I am whole?

You can take from me my property,

You may take from me my revery,

You could take from me my liberty,

But you cannot take my faith.

Stranded with nowhere beyond the shore to go,

What would I need to feel that I am whole?

You can't take from me my belief,

You shant take from me my faith,

You won't take from me that grace,

Which has given me my faith.

Stranded with nowhere beyond the shore to go,

What would I need to feel that I am whole?

Only he who resides above and sees all below,

He who calls me his child and provides me with a home.
