In need of a Compass

"Where are you going?" they ask,

like they expect me to know the anwser.

Like I have the future in my palm

ready to read it to them.

There are too many "Ifs"

too many "maybes"

and not knowing never seems to be good enough.

But the world is always changing,

and anything could happen

in the space of an arm reaching for tomorrow.

And maybe, instead of asking where we are going,

We must first find where we are.
