Need Love
You tell me that you need love.
But love to you is what you've caught a glipse of.
Love to you is what you didn't get before.
I say what I feel so why do you hold back?
Love and lust are two things but like-wise.
And I can have one but not both, you tell me.
But you tell me that you need love.
Love to you is what you imagine.
Love is what they talk about but never told you how to feel.
Two souls make a whole, they say.
But you've given too much away for me to be so selfish.
And I'm ok with what you want to give me.
But you tell me that you need love.
If you say he's too good for you to help it there's no use in helping you.
I'd try to save you but too enslaved you've become.
Part of the problem.
No longer one.
And that's all I've ever needed.
It hurts to say there's no use.
I write so you might become the one you wish you weren't.
I'll find in you, you'll find yourself.
But you tell me that you need love.
What I have to give is not what you think.
What you need isn't what they have.
Look inside.
See that just because it's not what you thought doesn't make my intentions less true.
No one knows what this is or what it's not.
So don't tell me that you need love.
