Needs
I sit and watch the sands and tide
And think I need a place to hide
A place that's warm, a place inside
To shelter from the storms
Then I consider otherwise
Needing fire to see with eyes
But I could feel the warm winds sighs
So I needn't keep warm
I need myself a ship to carry
My broken body through seas wary
Cross these waters lone and scary
Old timbers lashed with rope
Then as darkness settled down
Tide rushed in but I didn't frown
My feet planted hard on soft ground
Because all I have is hope.
