The ocean waves crash

Salt water laps on the shore

I am desolate

~

Miles away from home

Far from civilization

Alone, so alone

~

The ocean stretches

Scarcity of land bodies

Whatever happened?

~

To be rational

To be having a cool head

This is what I need.

~

But behold! A bag!

With a cell phone hidden in?

Only two contacts...

~

Mother and father

Goodness, they must be worried!

I can only call...

~

Lack of internet

No one else to call or text

But my mom and dad

~

Busy dial tone

But familliar voices

My panicked parents...

~

This is a nice phone

But that's not what matters most

Communication.

~

Games, unimportant

Social media; no thanks

I need my parents.

~

I needed them now

But now's when I need them most.

In this no-man's land.

~

Food and drink, I'll find.

Shelter? It's constructable.

But Mom, Dad, and I?

~

Indestructable.

Until the very end of time.

No island will stand.
