Nefertiti

Girls. Our jewelry projects to the world Who we want to be. Admit it. We all want to be The beautiful girl Or the heroine -whoever saves the day. But we can't. So we cover our failure With makeup Or earrings Necklaces In an effort to be What we can't find in ourselves. Maybe if we looked inside We would take off All the heavy makeup And only leave on Layers to spruce things up. And find in ourselves That all we want to Be is Content.
