Negate

I negate the experiences I thought I once had.

I feel comfort in nullifying the experiences that I choose to not remember.

I numb what I believe should not be pained.

I make inexistent the things that once existed for the sake of losing such memories.

I remove the emotionally impractical and feign courteous enjoyment for the sake of harmony.

But they do not see the destruction that occurred.

Like the calm in the eye of the storm.
