The Neighbor

Alone

Sitting inside

Bored. No soul to talk with.

Encouragement leads you to the door.

Taking a look around at the world.

Spotting the neighbors across the street.

Judgment invades your face.

You start to look pale.

Like a ghost taking the soul.

Slowly creep inside, still looking  at the neighbors across the street.

Quickly you shut the door

Pondering

Force to stay in your own home

Like a prisoner

Suddenly you hear a knock on the door.

Peeping out the window

Glancing to see

The Neighbor

Avoiding the neighbor

Force to hide in your room

All hours of the day

It’s not right

This is a taste of how my neighborhood is.

No neighbor comes out to greet you.

Lack of communication.

A barrier is put up around each and everyone of us.

To avoid conflict

This is my perception of the world.
