They asked if there was anyone else, Anywhere else I could turn to But I didn’t want anyone else, What I wanted was you I opened my arms, and you said no I received bruises, placed so they wouldn’t show I got headaches from screaming and pounding I started to cry but there was nothing sounding- I was a child And I was wild Able to love and be free And with a few simple words, You simply broke me. Like a beast of burden, I heard the whips crack But I don’t accept this- I’m taking my heart back. Because I was a child and you held that above me And you were the one unable to love me And there are things I still am unable to unsee But I don’t need you, and one day You’ll look back and you’ll finally say, “I’m sorry, baby.” And I’ll say, “Okay.”

I'm an artist. I'm a poet, I'm an actress, I like to draw with my toes in the dirt on the sidewalk, I like to people watch, I like to bird watch. I like to find beauty where it's not usually evident, I like to find excitement in the mundane. I like living. I like life.
