N.E.R.D.
Not knowing what to say as usual,
I commence this little poem for my beautiful.
"What does the title have to do with me?"
That question is so easy.
That title is not about you,
You are thinking in the wrong point of view.
It is about the writer of this little rhyme.
The one that will be there for you, throughout all of time.
N.E.R.D. -
Needing
Electronically
Rendered
Devices
Yep, that is what my acronym stands for,
Not some clever way to say "I love you more"
It stands for itself,
And therefore it doesn't need to be on a shelf.
You knew this along time ago,
Way before you met my alter ego.
But even though I am a N.E.R.D.,
I have something more preferred.
I bet you can imagine who you are,
Don't you worry I am not very far.
Just look down at your ring,
And remember these words and what they bring.
"You are the one that I want,
Nothing will ever change that.
Not my obsession with electronic things,
Or my love for my motorcycle.
Not even my stupid sleeping habits.
I love you for who you are, as you do for me.
Nothing will ever change that, and nothing could
You are my one and only, through everything."
Here ends my little confession,
I hope that it taught you a lesson.
About my love and rhyme,
One is for you and the other is not worth a dime.
