Nerves of a Runner
My Nerves are a wreck
As I go against the best
But for my solar plexus
This is only a test
Gunshot in my ear
Yet there's nothing to fear
I'm drenched in sweat
Wet, like I've been in a pool
Shaking like mad
I look like a fool
Will I even shine?
Pick them over time?
The though Disappears
Of losing to those guys
The harder I try
The slower time goes by
