Netflix Kind of Day

As I sit there on the
warm, cozy, colored
couch, I wonder what day it is.

How long have I been sitting in front of and staring at this
Hypnotizing
T.V.?

I can smell the
stale, buttery
popcorn in the bowl that
I sat on the floor hours before.

My eye bags are
stagnant rocks
weighing down my face.
Sitting with only this to do
Should I watch Doctor Who?

Once I get started on a nail-biting series, I can't stop.
It's a hiding addiction.
I don’t know what I'm going to do.
I've been deciding.

Mom told me to go outside and play
BUT MOM
it’s a Netflix kind of day.
