The Neurological Map

A brain is a map

But more so than you think

They guide and lead

But perhaps, half way down a

Long forgotten path,

Find a fault

Discover the stream and the forest

They call like sirens

While outside a war rages

Yet, one would never think,

But they are used all the time

Never recognized as they should be

Though different images they aer one,

Ineffable, impossible idea

With questions and strings attached

To be answered and verified

Rotting in a trunk until then

To open requires a key

To come alive needs an imagination

To be fulfilled desires an explorer

Sitting, waiting, rotting 'til then.
