Never Again
I left without a sound, I left without you.
You knocked me down and bruised me up.
Tonight was the last night, for tomorrow I'll be forever gone.
I walked out the house, no longer hurt, no longer crying.
You hit me for the last time, you beat me for the last night.
Tonight I'm going home, home to where I'll never hurt.
A hand reaches down and touches my face.
He says not to worry, I'll never feel pain again.
I smile for tonight was the last night, I've gone through those pearly gates.
No more pain, no more beatings,
I've finally found a place I can call home.
