Never Again

Wishing for a flow of bitter sweet rain

The feeling passed; I’m unable to remember the pain

A puddle on the ground; corroding

Wishing for some understanding

The life I live feels like it’s not mine

A lonely existence leaving a taste of brine

Wishing for another new beginning

The life I live is just self-deluding

A heart for creation if not for a lack of passion

Never again will I lie to myself
