Never Alone

I'm not the girl I used to be

what with soaring up so high,

I've seen and heard and lived some things

that could never pass my mind.

Everything I use to want,

and everything I was

seemed to morph and change and shift with time

like most everything in life.

And now the time has come at last

to say goodbye to what I've known,

and start my life anew

though I'll never be alone.
