Never Back Down

Life is a series of challenges,

challenges, struggles, and fights;

fights both exhausting and extremely frustrating,

frustrating to the point of surrendering.

Surrendering was never an option, was it?

It wasn't - so you chose perseverance,

perseverance and determination,

determination and relentlessness, instead.

Instead of shying, you faced,

faced instead of running from.

From enduring hardship, you have learned,

learned to overcome;

overcome what has bruised,

bruised and broken,

broken and beat you.

You chose to push,

push harder,

harder than ever before.

Before you were weak;

weak no longer describes you.

You have become stronger,

stronger than you know.
