Never Ending

Winding down a staircase that never seems to end

and as you turn each corner your head starts to spin

pain growing with every new turn

as you swear youve already seen that broken stair

you decend a few more flights and start flailing about

then decide to throw yourself down to end your misery

as you lay at the bottom of the steps broken and still

you see the exit just ahead as if mocking you

if only you hung on would you finally have been free
