Never Forget

I will never forget the moment I saw you The love in your eyes, The music in your hands that played the beat of my heart so perfectly, The warmth in your smile, The innocence in you laugh. I will never forget the moment I fell for you, “I’m a ninja,” you said, “You are my best friend,” you said, “I’m your brother from another mother and race,” you said, “He’s not right for you,” you said. I will never forget the moment I hurt you, The sadness in your eyes, The offbeat music in your hands, The despair in your face, The silence from the lack of your laughter. I will never forget the moment I admitted to you, “I was naïve,” I said, “I hope you are my best friend forever,” I said, “You are my heart,” I said, “You are right for me,” I said. I will never forget the moment I danced for one moment more, The clarity in our eyes, The solemn but loving music in our hands, The beauty of our smiles, The purity of our laughter… I will never forget the moment that proved our adoration, I will never forget you.

This is about my best friend, my lover, my other half, and all of the tough situations we have been through but have overcome.
