Never Forget

I’ll never forget, how the tears stream down her face

It was a haunting sight, and all my fault.

I made a decision, that turned her heart to dust.

Never to be repaired, nor mended, just scared.

I was her everything, her bestfriend.

I left her, and left her with nothing, but memories

Now to painful and happier than they ever seemed.

I thought I’d be fine, but the tears she left drying

On my shirt, on my pillow and the sobs left echoing

In my ears, tell me I’m a heartbreaker.

Tell me that somewhere deep down I think I was

Wrong, that I made a wrong decision. Only

Time will tell if I did. For now I’ll just

Wear this vine covered ring, so I’ll keep this

Moment, and her tears in mind.
