Never Give Up On What You Want

I was the smallest person in my highschool class in 1993 on the basketball team. People wouldn’t even pass me the ball or even put me on the court, around my 10th grade year I knew I wanted to take basketball seriously.

I grinded all 11th grade summer barely and took a day off. When i came back to play i could actually play i could drrple very good. They started to put me in the court. I started my 12th grade year and didnt have any offers because of my height and size, but I didn't give up.

It was one more camp my senior year , so I went. I felt like I performed well but didn't get picked to advance to the next game so I went to the other gym and was putting up shots doing drills.

The whole time I didn't know a scout was watching me through the gym door. He came in and gave me an offer to come to his college. Of course I took the offer and committed it as my only  chance.

When i got to college I was the rookie of the year. As years went by I went to the NBA draft and was picked number 1 overall. I never gave up on my dream and kept pushing until I couldn't do it any more.

Author statement:never give up, grind for what you want and you will get what you have been working for your whole life. WORK WORK WORK for what you want in life.
