Never Good Enough

So here it goes I am going to try

To explain to you all the reasons I’ve cried

I truly do love more than anything else

But I feel like a joke when I look at myself

The feeling I have is so hard to let go

I’ve tried and I’ve tried more than you’ll ever know

I don’t quite know how to say it out loud

How long and how badly I’ve been in this cloud

All the nights that I’ve spent just wishing for you

I never gave up on this love that is true

I should’ve gave up a long time ago

But for some strange reason I never let go

I don’t understand how all this came upon

One dumb little fifth grader who really held on

But there’s just something about you that I can’t define

Your eyes and your smile, they really do shine

Your pulling me closer with each breath that you take

Leaving me dying every moment I wake

I want you so badly, this feeling’s insane

But I know that I am the one who’s to blame

I wish you’d just want me like in all of my dreams

But life’s not a fairytale; they’re all just a scheme
