Never Good Enough
It's tough bearing all the responsibility
Being the oldest is hard
Never good enough
They always cave to you
I’m left in the wrong
Always my fault
Never good enough
I shoulder the blame
Cause you're the baby
Everything always comes easy
Never good enough
They put you first
It’s always you
Never good enough
And they don’t see
How the hurt is breaking me
Always spoken over or ignored
Never good enough
So I’ve learned to keep quiet
No one notices me
They don’t notice my silence
Or the fact that I stopped eating
Never good enough
The tiredness in my gaze
Or the tears I cry before bed
The scars on my arm
The urge to cut some more
Never good enough
Because they only focus on you
I just wished they paid me half the attention they pay you two
