Never Have I Ever
I’ve seen the news, so full of tragedy
I’ve seen the news, so full of controversy
I’ve heard rumors, of pain
I’ve heard rumors, of people hurting others
I’ve thought, of hurting myself
I’ve thought, of others hurting themselves
I’ve hated all of it
None of it is who I want to be
I never thought this before
I’ve been locked at home, watching death rates rise
I’ve been locked at home, watching the people try to be happy
I’ve seen numbers, much higher than they should be
I’ve seen numbers, much longer than should be okay
I’ve thought, of adding one more
I’ve thought, who would notice 1 single person
And it’s true nobody will ever truly remember you
Nobody counts the one digits
They never bother to remember the numbers
I’ve heard the music, telling of a love unknown
I’ve heard the music, talking of feeling alone
I’ve hid from my parents, my first love
I’ve hid from my parents, my most prominent thoughts
I’ve never seen, someone truly caring
I’ve never seen, a true friend
It’s never been easy
People are never who they seem
Maybe once there was good, but no longer
I’ve never seen, a truly happy person
I’ve never seen, someone kind for no reason
I’ve never felt, like I belong
I’ve never felt, like people could see the real me
I’ve never heard, a good rumor
I’ve never heard, a true secret
Feeling something is always so negative
Seeing something truly good, never happens
Hearing of good in the world, will never over power the bad
