Never in Heart

My rock has been thrown,

And I am still attached.

This rock is somewhere

Deep below the surface

In some far off waters.

I am lost without it,

I long for its stability.

The sense of self it gave me in its presence.

The love it showered me with constantly.

But I will not be lost forever.

I will wait for it roll onto the shores

Of our love once again.

Because I love you,

No matter the distance,

The time, The struggle,

I will wait for my rock.

We are waters apart,

But never in heart.
