This Never Leaves

I told you goodbye 

and I'm proud of myself

I feel good and I'm hoping that in time

ill feel better and better.

You aren't on my mind every second

and I got rid of everything that reminds me of you.

You still inspire me to write though

that's the only time I feel like I've made a mistake 

but loving you was never an option 

so I'll just allow our short story 

to be told where nothing ever happens and 

words never leave the page.
