Never Perish

Me alone, fighting with the world bearing its weight upon my shoulders. Adversity, stealthy and deceiving, awaiting the next opportunity. Hardship stomping my damp rosey red cheek already pierrced against the frozen charcoal pavement. No hand extended out, nothing to grasp. Two palms firmly mounted I thrust the pressure crushing me and extricate from his clutch. Survival has been the option. I will not perish.
