To Never Reach


The beauty of such a seraph demands inner turmoil To know it's light is to know the shadows dwelling in the pit of your soul It's to frivolously sulk within the confines of an hourglass While watching it grow in intensity by the second Buried by the sands of time the only visible figure drifts away from you The angel slips through your finger as anxiety overcomes Leaving but a gash in your heart tantamount to a serpentine grip coiling around passion The phoenix that has risen from the ashes of disaster Is that much more tragic because the flame of it's love has dissapated
