Never the Same
This tale is true and mine,
It’s the truest story you will ever find.
From kindergarten to senior year
When I cross that stage I will try not to shed a tear.
Twelve years is a long time
Without you here, I feel less divine.
When I got the bad news I didn’t believe it was true,
I couldn’t believe something like this would happen to you.
It doesn’t make sense how he took you away,
When you were just here yesterday.
You are probably looking down on us saying that you’re okay,
Oh how I wish I could see your face.
But I know you’re in a better place,
So for you I will stay strong,
I will help our class keep pushing on.
Even though it’s hard
Now that you are gone,
For you we will all stay tough
When times get rough.
Even though you are up there and we are down here,
I will try not to shed any tears.
Because I know we aren’t that far apart,
JOYE, you’re on our minds and in our hearts.
I know we will see you again someday,
and that you will be walking that stage on graduation day.
Your memory is something that will never fade,
The class of 2013 will never be the same,
Now that you’re our angel in a better place.
