Never taught, Never Told

Life is a journey With roads unknown Sometimes you may have a breakdown But you have to fix what's hindering you from your destination And get back on the road Sometimes I wish I could have prepared for this thing called life But just like you I was never taught Never told Never taught that pain is inevitable And unpredictable Never told that id give my all to people Just for them to switch up And never invest any reciprocal Never told that its ok To Love hard and to accept losing loved ones It figures though Never taught and never told That my strengths come into play When I'm attacked in the spiritual Never told that if I cry out to God He will truly hear it though Never taught - Never told The wisdom that i needed had to be planted from within For It was never bought or sold Unaware that at times I'd be caught in this worlds cold Pain- It's the beauty of life And all scars fade over time Never taught Never told But I'll never hate, regret or abhor Anything As my journey continues to unfold
