Never Told You No

I got too attached too quickly. I told myself that I wasn't going to like anyone. I never told myself no, and to hold myself accountable. I never told you no because I liked you a lot. Tried to bypass my feelings for you - but you just walked right through the wall I built. Never told you no, even when I should've. Even the nights I cried myself to sleep, even in the moments where I was upset with you. 7 months passed, and I never told you no - should've told you no if I would've known you were going to be talking to another girl. I let my guard down around you because you were a safe person I could open up about my feelings, someone I could trust deeply. Should've told you no and told me the truth when I asked if you had a girlfriend, yet I knew the truth, and you lied to me. Should've told you no at the start. Situations like these are the reason I build my wall so high, the reason why I'm scared of a relationship that could turn serious. I open up, trust people again, and then get my heart broken again and again. I cared deeply about you, and it broke me to see you walk away. I cried for days. I'm trying to work through my emotions, but this is too messy. - It hurts, but I'm trying my best to move on. Though I never told you no, I'm still gonna love, care, and pray for you because you still matter to me.

Just tryna' write poetry that always glorifies God and who He is, what he has done for me, and what He can and will do for you! If God can transform my life, I know without a doubt he can transform yours too! You are NEVER too far gone, or broken for God! Come to Jesus just as you are and give your life to him and watch the change happen when you turn to Jesus and live for Him!! Being a Christian is never easy, just as life isn't easy, but our only hope is in Jesus Christ the one and only!!
