Never Waning - The Pull

Your love is like the moon

Waning as time passes

Pushing against my heart

Just as the wave crashes

Killing me softly

Admiring you from afar

Distance may be nothing

But to me you are

Wishing for you love

Hoping you will come closer

Ask for my love

I am devoted to you ten times over

My heart is in your orbit

Following the rules you create

Going with your flow

And waiting for fate

Hoping one  day to crash to your surface

Not just wanting to smash

But to feel all of you

Your heart as smooth as glass

Love me my moon

Welcome me to your surface

Crashing against your gentle plains

Nestling in your terrain

But I am just another meteor

Stuck inside your pull

Admiring you from afar…….

Distance may be nothing…….

But to me…..

You are
