Neverending

Throughout the years, I've had my laughs. I've had my tears. I've had my heartaches. We've gotten so close, We were inseperable. We were blissful, We were unspeakable. You relied on me, Whenever you were depressed. I was always there, I couldn't ever say no. We got too attached, And you had to choose one. You chose the other, And left me detached. I continued talking to you. I still couldn't stop. We stopped seeing each other. What could I do? I found someone else, Yet you lingered in my mind. I tried to cut all ties, Yet nothing, I really tried. It didn't work out, It was as expected. She was just a distraction, But I couldn't ignore you. Again, I became your crutch. I comforted you, With that lingering thought, "What if?" What if we can start over? What if you forget the other? What if we get together? What if we last forever? Yet for you, it's not the same. You couldn't forget it. You kept trying to keep it. You became obsessed, like me. I've gotten nowhere, But not for long. I'll try to cut all ties, This time, for the best.
