"Neverland " By Angel Young

“Neverland”

Once upon a time in Neverland
There lived a boy named Peter Pan
Now look we all know the story-
Of a boy who could fly
Unlike the Grimms, it’s not gory
But this story, like others, has an unexpected twist
Stare for too long and you’ll surely miss-

Wait look- at the sky- there he goes!
He’s the breeze of the wind
The mist of a rainbow
Oh wait, you thought he was a person, I see
But truth be told he’s not like you and me
He’s a spirit of nature
A spirit called Pan
He resides in the forests
In the soil of this land
Yet we destroy it-
Oil it, work hard and toil it,
Deaf to his cries of mercy
For the destruction of the land
Is not in his hands
Within this once upon a “Neverland “
