Neverland's Enemy

You have all heard the stories

Of Peter Pan and his Lost Boys

Not knowing,

How sinister the truth really is.

How I, Captain Hook,

Try to desperately save those Lost Boys

From the clutches of

Peter Pan.

Day after day I watch Pan

Whispering into the the Lost Boys’ ears

Slander; he sullies my good name,

Tarnishes my reputation.

They believe his every word.

Easily swayed,

Into Pan’s evil methods

Brainwashed, tricked; they worship him.

Glorifying the boy who ripped them

from their parents.

Forgetting that they were once loved;

Trapped in an evil spell.

The demonic fairy hisses into

Pan’s ears

Telling Pan his next move,

The mastermind of the operation.

My bumbling crew is no good;

I have to go about it alone.

When Pan chopped off my hand,

All anyone did was laugh.

Once I was a successful captain

With a competent crew.

Alas, they were all killed by Pan and his boys.

No one tells you that story, do they?

Do not trust Pan,

Do not trust his Lost Boys,

They promise nothing

But an inescapable, dark future.

Spread my story,

In hopes that people will realize,

That everything is not

What it seems in this land.

I’m here to protect you,

To warn you of the dangers,

Of the monster within the magic;

Of the real enemy of Neverland.
