Let me take a minute

To start reminiscing

About the way that I am living

Am I loving or am I getting

Too full

Of myself?

Forgetting who I rep?

Is He ordering my steps?

Or am I just pleasing myself?

For the Father

I said I would

Give my all through bad and good.

But I guess that was a lie

Clearly, I misunderstood.

Judgment for every face

Forgetting we are saved by grace.

Hating the other race,

But still seeking His face.

I had it all wrong

But that's why I wrote this song.

Dear Lord,

I can't right my wrongs.

But Your forgiveness is what I long

For.

Show me my place.

And I promise that is where I will stay.

I'm not perfect but You remain,

Loving me through my mistakes.
