A New Beginning

It was time that I grew up.

My childhood was at an end,

because yours needed room to wake up.

It wasn't the excitement, nerves, or cravings.

Nor the butterflies, kicks, or punches.

Maybe it was the savings?

But really it was the munchkin.

The pain it was unbearable,

I wanted nothing more that to hold you.

There is no single thing that is combarable.

I'll be here for you to cling to.

I've got you for eternity.

An infinity, and beyond.

You have given me maternity.

I love you, my wonderful phenomenon.
