New Chapter
I feel as though people have more than one life.
Of course, not literally.
Finishing high-school is one life
because your life is in the same constant flow
and schedule during those years.
The next life you have is perhaps in college,
studying and meeting new folks and diving
into new depths of exploration
through books and people and new landscapes.
The soul mate is the next new life,
because you have to change the way you do
everything
for that person who matters so much.
As well as you will have to change
your life again; when you have children.
Everything changes,
and that's okay.
In a way, thats how life is supposed to come to us.
We adapt to each new life.
Part of our life is to learn how to live and adapt to the
different lives.
The life of the adolescent, the responsible, the caregiver.
Sometimes we pass a stranger;
a mother, or an elder
and they seem so different.
Their lives,
seem so different from ours.
But they are also different in their minds.
The life they are living in that present
is a different life from the life they had lived
ten years ago, twenty years ago, or
fifteen years in the future.
It's okay, multiple lives is how life works.
Perhaps one could think of these new lives as milestones,
but i like to call them lives.
