New Cut

This evening I got a new haircut

I show it to the world one day

And the next the world’s shut

I wish i could put this feeling into words

My march home on display to the watchful birds

I woke up from the best dream

And my eyes are tearing at the seams

Will this conversation be our last?

Another mistake etched in the past?

I know my these thoughts to be untrue

For my mind is a cloud when days are blue

Always running to the worst outcome

Trying to find where this horribe feeling came from

There’s so much courtesy that a sorry can extend

So let’s hold hands til this feeling ends

And maybe a little bit after
