A New Dawn
The Shadow looms over me,
Intimidating
It tries to slink into my dreams,
To turn them into nightmares
It does the same to my life
Hissing, “It’s not real... It never will be.”
But I know it’s the one
That never will be real
And I know that the darkness will not last forever
Someday, sometime, there will be a new dawn
When He comes, the darkness of the night
Will scream and vanish
Into the background, where it came from
And the bright Morning Star will remain
To save those who believed, knew
That a new dawn was coming
