New Day

Waves was up on a distant shore And we find something never seen before While our sun sank into the darkness deep And the world succumbs to slumber sweet Life unravels in freedoms unbound Its explosions making not even a sound Our mind bombs the sleepy world red As we put normalcy to bed We wait for the coming of a new day Alarms are set for we dare not delay But why must we forget dreams of long nights past? Why is silver sleep unable to last? For a life of happiest wishes and dreams Would refresh the world with splashes of blues and greens We could walk with your hand nestled in mine And solely joy and happiness we would find But we live in the real world I’m told With many realities harsh and cold But unfortunately that’s not the worst part It’s that the world fights to crush the heart So as we walk in winter’s harsh breeze Lets make our anger and hate freeze So love and joy can swell up like a wave For each moment was to treasure and save So even if the world is blackened by the rains With harsh realities in this world cruel Allow compassion to bleed through your veins And love even the biggest fool
