A New Day

Today is the day to uncover the truth

Time to remove the woven veil of lies

But they say we are so naive in our youth

If only we could open our eyes

Now wouldn't it be strange

If on this brand new morning

We gathered together to make a change

Paying no heed to our elders' warning

They preach to our youthful ears,

Convincing us we're too new to understand

The fight and struggle of the years

And far to inexperienced to make a stand

But my beliefs are as good as theirs

And it's time for us to rise and see

We have the power to mend the tears

In the fabric they've given to you and me

Don't listen to a word they say

For the youth are the life blood of the nations

And on this new and faithful day

It's time to man our stations
