A New Day

I might seem a bit too calm;
You may be wondering if I'm nervous.
I'm walking with stride in my step, because I know that I have a purpose.
Confidence isn't the only key to success,
Nor will thinking positively always result in spells of happiness.
I've been nit-picking at making this decision for years.
I practically had to force myself through the main building in tears,
In fear of failure;
Feeling afraid and defeated.
Over thinking the possibility that the goals I've pondered could be succeeded.
Now I'm here and I'm rich in faith,
I believe in myself Today is a new day.
