A New Day

Across the street there was a fair maiden

and there she stood alone

Her life was always a’ laden

Her life was not her own

She lived among her peers

but no-one knew she was there

This was one of her many fears

That no one would care

But on one fateful day

When the sun was burning bright

Another that's alone had to say

Everything will be alright

With the burden lifted

A new day she’s been gifted
