A New Fairy Tale
Time upon time upon time
Sat a girl, lost in thought
Wondering when her prince would come-
Dreaming to be noticed
Until she realized
Girls do not need a prince
She need not be sweet and submissive
But strong and brave
Ariel relinquished her voice for a man
Cinderella waited for a Fairy Godmother to venture
Belle fell in love prisoner
She knew it was time to make a new Fairy Tale
One where royalty isn't what it takes to be great
Where girls don't comply, but defy
And fight so EVERYONE
Lives happily ever after
