the new girl

i miss you

every single day i think about you

i miss everything about you

your curly hair

your dark chocolatey brown eyes

your unique shoes that always reminded me of your unique personality

your contagious laugh that always made me laugh

the inside jokes only we understand

the connection we had that no one else could grasp

how could a football player and a complete nerd love each other

somehow it happened

and now, it's gone

i miss it

i miss you

i just want to hold you one more time

i just want to tell you im sorry for everything

and now you're with her

you promised me you were over her

and now she's in your arms

she's the one comforting you in times of sorrow

she's the one supporting you on the sidelines

i am just a distant memory in your past

i am just the girl you liked in sophomore year

i can't be mad

it was my fault

one thing does bring a smile to my face

your happiness

the smile you have with her never occurred with me

she is bringing joy to your life

i was just a weight on you

she is enabling you to fly

since i love you so much, please move on

though i despise it

move on

forget about me

forever

the new girl is better
