New Life

The waves are unforgiving

I have chosen this path

And I refuse to look behind any longer

Refusal to remember my Garden of Eden

That golden age has passed

Shadows and haze encompass my faith

As I release my fears into the night,

My only option is to fall to my knees

I know there is hope

How will I find it?

I need courage

For the clock is ticking, and I cannot stop

My eyes set on the curled, twisted limbs

Like a pretzel from the fair

Reality crushes every limb in my body

Innocence is a grain of sand

Slowly fading away

Minute by

minute
