A New Light

The dark cave opens us to a new light,

this shining overbearing sun is called life.

Come time this light grows dimmer,

as it will for the good and the sinners.

If you stare into this beam for a purpose,

you might come face to face with the serpent.

There are those who will struggle to find one,

there are those who will follow temptation till’ their done.

Those who continue to follow fall into a fantasy,

or rather a false reality.

The reality of a human being is determined by who they are.

So I ask, Are you alive?

and if so so you have the mindset to go far.

This light we come to know turns black,

until we are lost, clinging to the shadow of our soul.

You will come to know their is no going back.
